Gleam Media Inc has once again be contracted by the COC to produce 2 videos for a major announcement with partners HBC and RBC. The videos will be shown at a press conference announcing this continued partnership. Special thanks to Dennis Kim for his continued support

Gleam Media Inc and the COC partner up once again for a video for the late James Worral. This video will showcase all of Mr. Worralls contributions to the Olympic Movement in Canada.

October 2011

The crew of Gleam Media inc and We Live Soccer are off to Vancouver and Seattle. Episode #11 will feature Seattle and the US Open Cup. From there the crew is off to Detroit to showcase the hub of soccer in and around the motor city for Episode #12.

The final episode of We Live Soccer features the Copa Freestyle Challenge hosted at Toronto hotspot: Brassai.

Gleam Media Inc is once again working with the Canadian Olympic Committee and Gold Medal Plates. The video will feature Chef de Mission for the 2012 Olympic Games Mark Tewkesbury.

Mayor Karen Farbridge, along University of Guelph President Dr. Sumerlee, Will Rowe, President and CEO of Nutrasource Diagnostics, Andrea Ramlogan, Director of Operational planning for Organic Meadow and Jay Bradshaw, President of Syngenta will be featured within the video.

The crew of Gleam Media inc and We Live Soccer are off to the big apple for a big week of production. Episode #5 Kicking and Screening Film Festival, Episode #6 the legendary NY Cosmos, Episode #7 MLS All Star Game. From there we travel to New Jersey for Episode #8 Footvolley, and up to Washington for Episode #9, the Mia Hamm/Nomar Garciaparra Celebrity soccer game.

Gleam Media Inc is in the process of script development for Grow Guelph. Grow Guelph is an initiative between the University of Guelph and the City of Guelph. Founded in 2008, Grow Guelph began acting as a marketing arm for the former Guelph Partnership for Innovation, representing the Agri-innovation and Lifescience cluster. Gleam Media Inc will be responsible for sharing this message.

Gleam Media Inc. has been contracted once again by the Canadian Olympic Committee to provide a video diary of the Heroes tour. This video will feature Canada’s Olympians as they travel across 4 cities in 4 days culminating in the Hall of Fame Gala in Moncton New Brunswick on April 16th. Thanks to Roupina Farra and Dennis Kim for their continued support.

Gleam Media Inc is proud to announce the successful completion of the 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee videos. Congratulations to figure skater Elvis Stojko, swimmer Curtis Myden, bobsledder David MacEachern, women’s hockey coach Melody Davidson and cycling builder Marc Lemay. The videos were well received.

Gleam Media Inc. has started production on the 2011 Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame videos, which will be showcased at the 2011 Hall of Fame Gala in Moncton New Brunswick. Each video will be narrated in both official languages.

Speed Skating Canada has contracted Gleam Media Inc. to produce a series of videos to celebrate the success of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games for their annual meeting. Special thanks to Mylene Croteau of Speed Skating Canada. 

Mike Brannagan has been engaged by CBC to assist in the production of the World Junior Track and Field Championship in Moncton, New Brunswick. This was a tremendous event for the athletic stars of tomorrow and a wondeful success for the city of Moncton.

We are pleased to announce the completion of a series of Public Service Announcements for Prostate Cancer Canada and the Father's Day Walk/Run. Not only did Gleam Media produce, shoot and edit these promotional pieces, but our very own, Helen Stoumbos, starred along with her very good friend Jamie Sale.

Helen is a former World Cup soccer player and Jamie Sale is an Olympic Gold Medalist. Both of them combined to inform the public about this deadly disease. The Father's Day Walk/Run will take place on June 20th, 2010, across the country. Visit www.fathersdayrun.ca for further information.

Gleam Media is pleased to announce the completion of ten videos to honour the 2010 inductees to the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. It was a privilege to be part of this event for the fourth year running. Our heart felt congratulations to inductees Carolyn Brunet, Bruny Surin, Susan Auch, Coach Paul Poce and Builder Walter Sieber. This year, the individual videos were produced in English and French. In addition to the induction ceremony on April 23rd in Montreal, the videos were also seen nationally on CTV and in Quebec on V Network.

We appreciate the very positive feedback once again and express our thanks to the Canadian Olympic Committee and especially to Dave Bedford for all his faith in us over the years.

Gleam Media is proud to announce that Prostate Cancer Canada has engaged us to provide Media Services for their very special cause. Many thanks to Steve Jones of Prostate Cancer Canada for his faith in our work. We look forward to a long relationship. Up first is a video to honour the great John Ferguson a former Montreal Canadien. John passed away from prostate cancer on July 14, 2007. His courageous battle against this terrible desease inspired Prostate Cancer Canada to create the John Ferguson Memorial Award - an award that is given annually to a honour a person that makes a difference in the fight against Prostate Cancer.

Gleam Media is pleased to have been commissioned to create a video about the first recipient of the John Ferguson Memorial Award, Calgary Businessman Randy Magnussen. Randy's role in the founding of the Randy Remington Golf Tournament is being recognized this year. President Mike Brannagan is heading for Vancouver to continue his work as consulting producer for Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium. At the end of the month Mike's focus will change to the role Coordinating Producer for the CTV- led consortium which will broadcast over 1800 hours of Coverage from the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Gleam Media announces the completion of a 30-second television spot to help inform the public about the Surgical Weight Loss Centre. The Surgical Weight Loss Centre is a fabulous Weight Loss facility specializing in Lap Band and Gastric Ballon procedures. This tremendous group of professionals led by Doctor Chris Cobourn and Doctor David Mumford continue to make real differences in the lives of their patients.

Gleam Media is pleased to announce that our relationship with the Surgical Weight Loss Centre will continue with a series of videos that we will produce for their website. Gleam Media has been engaged by the Canadian Olympic Committee to produce two videos that will assist in their preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
The first is a Media Training Video that will assist in explaining media protocol at the games for all the Media attaches for Team Canada. Thanks to Sylvie Bigras and her mission team for the guidance and instruction.
The Second is a security video produced for Brian Edey of the COC and Louis Chaisson of the RCMP.
The purpose of this video is to familiarize athletes with security procedures at the games.

Gleam Media once again working with AD VOX to produce a 10 minute documentary featuring AD VOX and "A Day with Simon Davidson".

AD VOX: Together We Can, a short film to illustrate the plight of mental illness in children and youth in Canada. The film chronicled the day with Dr. Simon Davidson, and his visit to Wellington County in an effort to bring awareness to the issue. The goal of AD VOX is to bring a common voice to decision makers in order to affect change. Parents, Government leaders, community leaders and professionals all raise one voice to help families and children in need. Thank you to AD VOX for allowing us to work on this project. The film will debut on October 8th at the Mayors Initiative, in Guelph, Ontario.

Gleam Media contracted by Jackie DeSouza to produce a video for Donovan Bailey featuring all of his accomplishments both on and off the field. Thanks to the IOC, OTAB and CBC for the footage.

Gleam Media contracted by the Canadian Olympic Committee to work with Sylvie Bigras on a video for the staff of the 2010 Olympic Games, in order to inform everyone on standard protocol for media relations at the Olympic Games. The video is to be presented at TOPS in Vancouver on Sept. 18th and also distributed to all Sport Governing Bodies.

Gleam Media completes 3 videos for the Canada Games Council. When we were approached by the Canada Games Council to produce 3 videos honoring a couple of sporting legends in this country, we were thrilled. We completed 2 videos honoring Larry Smith, the retiring chairman of the games and on video for the late Jack Pelech, a pioneer and father figure to the Canada Games. Thanks for letting us be a part of this project. And once again, a real pleasure to work with Canada Games gang.

Gleam Media produces the Festival of Excellence, featuring Usain Bolt for audiences in Canada and around the world. The inaugural Festival of Excellence featuring Usain Bolt was a tremendous success. Audiences around the world thrilled to the Olympic Champions victory and to significant performances from some of the best Track athletes in the world. Many thanks to TSN/RDS and their partnership with us. A special thanks to Geoff Arnoldi and the Arnoldi Group as well as the University of Toronto for asking us to be a part of this. It was great to get back to our roots, something that was a big part of my life in the past and continues to be, the production of live sporting events. Gleam Media teams up with the Surgical Weight Loss Clinic once again. We were honored to be a part of the symposium for the Surgical Weight Loss Clinic again this year. It was informative and very moving at times. A great team of people doing very important work, giving hope and results to many people. Thanks for letting us be a part of the Symposium again this year.

Gleam Media contracted by Judy and Lorraine Bruce-Allen of AD VOX to document A Day with Simon Davidson. A great event, very moving at times, and very informative. A very important cause we should all learn more about: Mental Health in Children and Youth. We look forward to producing the documentary, and we are proud to be a part of this. Gleam Media completes Canadian Olympic Committee Hall of Fame Videos. This years inductees included: The Men's 2002 Olympic Hockey Team, the Womens 2002 Olympic Hockey Team, both Gold medal winners in Salt Lake City, the amazing skating pair of Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, as well as the influential coach Howard Firby, Dr. Jean Grenier, the father of Short Track Speedskating and Dr. Robert Hindmarch, a giant in sport especially hockey in this country. Special thanks to all of the inductees, the Canadian Olympic Committee crew, CBC, RDS and OTAB.

Helen Stoumbos attended the Hall of Fame Gala in Vancouver and was able to experience first hand the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. It was a great evening and an absolute pleasure to be able to watch some of the greatest athletes in Canadian History being honored. It was also great to see first hand how our videos contributed to the evening. We are so pleased to have been able to make a contribution to the evening. Many people mentioned they were the best videos ever. Many thanks to the Canadian Olympic Committee for their trust in Gleam Media. It was a great experience working with them this year.

Gleam Media contracted by Canada Games Council once again to produce an inspirational video to celebrate the 2011 Canada Games in Halifax. Many thanks to Sue Hyland and Patrick Kenney of the Canada Games Council for hiring us to produce this new video. It is always a pleasure to work with them. Great concepts, great feedback, great teamwork.

Gleam Media travels to Montreal to complete LTAD video for Dive/Plongeon Canada. Gleam Media has been contracted by Penny Joyce and Mitch Geller of Diving/Plongeon Canada to help them complete a Long Term Athlete Development video. It was great working with Scott Cranam and Michelle at the Olympic Diving tank. It was great fun and a great start to the video. 3 days and a lot of dives. Well keep you updated on the progress of the video.

Gleam Media is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new website dedicated entirely to Women’s Soccer.

Womenlivesoccer.com is a web portal that is dedicated to all women’s soccer fans and enthusiasts around the world. The site will feature news, player profiles, podcasts, videos, and anything women’s soccer.

Vice President of Gleam Media, Helen Stoumbos is absolutely thrilled to see this new website take form. “It’s been a dream of mine for a long time. Women’s soccer is my passion. I’m excited to be a part of letting other Women across North America and the World share in the passion on a site designed for everyone who loves the sport and wants to stay informed, entertained and share their ideas with other passionate fans”.

Stoumbos was recently inducted to the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame. She is a former World Cup Soccer player and a Television Commentator and Host.

Gleam Media has been hired to produce a series of videos for a renowned Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Frank Lista. Dr Frank Lista is the medical director and founder of the Plastic Surgery Clinic. He is a board certified specialist in plastic surgery in Canada and the United States, a sought after speaker, lecturer and teacher of Plastic Surgery.

Gleam Media President, Michael Brannagan has been hired as Consulting Producer for the Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN). Michael will be working on the production plan and consult in the preparation for APTN’s Olympic coverage of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Congratulations to APTN on their participation in the CTV/Rogers Olympic Consortium. Their participation promises to bring historic coverage to Aboriginal people and all Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

STOUMBOS TO BE NAMED TO THE CANADIAN SOCCER HALL OF FAME.
Gleam Media Inc. is very proud to announce that one of their own, Vice President Helen Stoumbos will be officially named to the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame in April 2008.
“What an honour to be considered part of this prestigious group of people” said Stoumbos upon hearing the news. “It’s a humbling experience; I think I’m happiest for my parents, especially my Dad.”
Stoumbos played 34 times for Canada and scored the first goal by a Canadian senior player, either male or female, in the final rounds of any world championship. Helen scored against England in Helsingborg in Sweden at the 1995 World Cup, direct from a corner kick in the 90th minute.

CANADIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE HIRES GLEAM MEDIA TO PRODUCE HALL OF FAME VIDEOS FOR 2008.
After the very successful completion of the 2007 Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame videos, Gleam Media Inc. has once again been hired by the COC to work for them in 2008. Over all these videos very successful. Gleam Media was honored to be a part of the event and to produce the videos that introduced the inductees. Names like Clara Hughes, Marc Gagnon, Montgomery “Bud” Wilson, Marianne Limpert, Brian Wakelin, Deryk Snelling and Les McDonald.

GLEAM MEDIA INC. PRODUCES THE GALAXY/ WHITECAP FRIENDLY FEATURING DAVID BECKHAM
November 7th 2007. Gleam Media Inc. is proud to announce the successful production of the Los Angeles Galaxy, Vancouver Whitecaps game for GOL TV Canada and various US interests.
President of Gleam Media, Mike Brannagan was the producer for this special game that featured 50,000 fans that packed BC Place stadium in Vancouver, thrilled with the chance to see international Soccer Icon David Beckham.
“I’ve had the opportunity to produce a Grey Cup game here at BC Place and the atmosphere was similar, there was definitely a special feeling about this event”
The game was indeed special for many reasons. The first game Beckham has played in Canada, The first live event produced for GOLTV Canada and the highest rating so far, for this young network.

HELEN STOUMBOS HIRED BY CBC FOR THE FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

FIFA U20 PREVIEW SHOW AIRS NATIONALLY
The Gleam Media Production of the FIFA Men’s under 20 preview show aired nationally on GOLTV June 29th. The show included interviews with Pele, Rui Costa, Jack Warner, Craig Forrest, and Dick Howard among others.

Gleam Media Inc. to produce profiles for the Canadian Olympic Committee
The Canadian Olympic Committee has contracted Gleam Media Inc. to produce profiles for the Hall of Fame Olympic Inductees. The Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame pays tribute to Canada's greatest Olympians and long-time Contributors to the Olympic Movement in Canada.
The Hall of Fame Banquet will be held at the World Trade Convention Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 21.
Gleam Media will be producing profiles an all of the inductees.

Gleam Media Inc. to produce promo video for the FIFA U20 draw to be broadcast live on CBC.
The Canadian Soccer Association has contracted Gleam Media Inc. to produce an exciting U20 Promotional Video to be broadcast on March 3rd live on CBC. The Official Draw is an anticipated event for every country who has earned a birth to this year's tournament. It will set the stage for the tournament and create speculations of early favourites.

Mike Brannagan contracted to work for the APTN for the Canada Games.
Mike Brannagan, former Executive Producer at CBC Sports has been contracted to produce live events for the 2007 Canada Winter Games held in Whitehorse from Feb. 24 to March 10. The Canada Games are the biggest sporting event in Canada with over 3,600 athletes, coaches and Managers attending and over 100 hours of television coverage.
Gleam Media to produce FIFA U20 Preview Show and Profiles.
The Canadian Soccer Association has contracted Gleam Media to produce the FIFA U20 World Cup Preview Show. The U20 World Cup has produced some of the biggest names that have ever played the beautiful game. Names like Diego Maradona, Luis Figo, Michael Owen, Ronaldinho, to name just a few. With interviews with soccer phenom, Pele, Concacaf president, Jack Warner, Canadian soccer legend Craig Forrest, and Ipswich captain, Jason DeVos, this one-hour broadcast will be available in early 2007.
Gleam Media will also be producing a series of profiles of the top Canadian U20 players, and profiles of each of the venues for the 2007 U20 World Cup. These will be available for broadcast and IPTV in early 2007.

Gleam Media has just completed production of 4 videos for the Canada Games Council to support their initiative, “Inspiring Dreams and Building Champions.”
Olympic and World Speed Skating Champion, Catriona LeMay Doan hosts the videos. Sony Music and Chantal Kreviazuk donated the use of the wonderful song “Time” to promote the Canada Games movement. Athletes involved include: Steve Nash (2 time NBA MVP), Cindy Klassen (6 Olympic medals), the sensation of the Turin Olympics, Marc Gagnon (3 Olympic Gold Medals), Nathalie Lambert (2 Olympic medals) and Dave McEachern (Olympic Gold Medalist).
